Boutique-y Gin Company launches two exclusive bottlings
Independent drinks bottler That Boutique-y Gin Company has partnered with supermarket chain Asda and pub operator Marston's to create two bespoke gins.
Gingle All The Way has been created for the UK-based supermarket and will be the first product the drinks producer has listed in Asda stores. The gin is described as a "blend of warming and zesty botanicals with an aromatic hint of cocoa”. Ryan Ormrod, Asda spirits buying manager, said: “We wanted to work with the team at That Boutique-y Gin Company to produce a craft spirit for our loyal shoppers that encompassed the festive feeling that you get when you share a drink amongst friends and family over Christmas.” Designed to stand out to busy shoppers, Gingle All The Way has a personalised Boutique-y label featuring a festive serve surrounded by botanicals and sitting within a snow globe. The gold inscription wishes a merry Christmas, bookended by two owls in honour of Asda’s hometown, Leeds. From January 2019, Maverick Drinks will continue its partnership with Asda, replacing Gingle All The Way with That Boutique-y Gin Company's Moonshot Gin. That Boutique-y Gin Company's Maharaja Gin was developed following an in-house competition between Marston’s rotisserie venues, it is a "spicy and aromatic blend" that was designed by the team at Bure Farm, Bicester. Michael Vachon, co-founder and head of brand development at Maverick Drinks, said: “At Maverick Drinks, we are uniquely positioned to help our partners create bespoke products. “It’s been a fun and collaborative process working with our partners, Asda and Marston’s, to bring these new liquids to life and we are so excited to see them enjoyed by their customers.” Gingle All The Way is bottled at 46% abv and is available to purchase from Asda online and select Asda stores with a recommended retail price of £29.50 (US$38.80) per 50cl bottle. Maharaja Gin (46% abv) is now available in 67 Marston rotisserie venues. That Boutique-y Drinks Company recently announced the launch of its third independent bottling venture – That Boutique-y Rum Company.
