Beehive revamps VSOP recipe and launches XO brandy
Bardinet-owned Beehive brandy has updated the recipe for its VSOP expression at the same time as adding a new XO bottling to its portfolio.
The newly-launched Beehive XO expression is made with a blend of long-aged eaux-de-vie with a “whisper of Armagnac XO”. The new expression is said to have a rich and oaky appearance, alongside “notes of fig, raisin, tobacco and toasted oak”. Marion Divaret, Beehive global brand manager, said: “This new proposition perfectly combines bold packaging and an exquisite blend. “Beehive XO, as the rest of the range, is incredibly smooth, complex and reveals incredible aromatic flavours, a true expression of Beehive’s French tradition and expertise in the art of blending.” Alongside the new product launch, Beehive has updated the recipe for its VSOP bottling, which is said to “reveal a smooth flavour marriage of wood, vanilla and fresh fruity pear notes making way to whispers of Armagnac and notes of prune”. Divaret added: “We are very proud of these new recipes which reflect Beehive’s expertise and heritage. This new launch gives Beehive the opportunity to showcase its deep French roots while being explorative and expressing a real savoir-faire in the art of blending.” The packaging across the range has also been updated to “echo Beehive’s values and strong heritage”. Launched across the brand’s VSOP, XO and Honey expressions, the new design has retained the brand’s embossed beehive logo, while adopting a more “refined and contemporary style”.
