The wheated mash bill is 74% corn, 15% wheat, and 11% malted barley; after four years in new American oak, the whiskey spends another four years in first-fill PX sherry casks from Spain — eight years total — before bottling at 65.3% ABV (130.6 proof). Master Distiller Donnis Todd selected 14 distinctive PX barrels from the original Ranch Reserve production lot for individual cask-strength release. The PX profile centers on chocolate, toffee, caramel, raisins, figs, and candied fruit, with a rich texture from prolonged sherry-cask maturation; each barrel develops its own balance of fruit, sweetness, and oak.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Chocolate, toffee, caramel, raisins, and figs.
Palate: Rich dried fruit, chocolate, and dark toffee with a rounded, full texture.
Finish: Lingering sherry sweetness and candied fruit.

Specifications

Producer: Garrison Brothers Distillery, Hye, Texas
Style: Texas Straight Bourbon, PX Sherry Cask Finished (Single Barrel, Cask Strength)
Mash Bill: 74% Corn, 15% Wheat, 11% Malted Barley
Maturation: 4 years new American oak + 4 years first-fill PX sherry casks (8 years total)
Proof: 130.6 (65.3% ABV), uncut and unfiltered
Size: 750mL

Explore more in our bourbon collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is it aged?
Eight years total — four years in new American oak followed by four years in first-fill PX sherry casks.

What does PX sherry mean?
PX stands for Pedro Ximénez, a Spanish sherry made from sun-dried grapes; its casks contribute rich raisin, fig, chocolate, and toffee notes.

What proof is it?
130.6 proof (65.3% ABV); each PX single barrel is bottled at its natural strength, so others may differ.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0276/1621/5176/files/GarrisonBrothersSingleBarrelCaskStrengthPXSherryCaskFinishBourbon750mL.webp?v=1793218015
